Good afternoon Ladies ,

Thank you for taking part in our Ladies Open at Whitefield yesterday. 120 Ladies took part and we were lucky with the weather most of the day apart from the last hour or so when the rain came in and we even had a bit of thunder. I think you would all agree that the course was in fabulous condition .

There were some great scores including 2 teams with 88 points . Winners after a card play off were Leslie Pomfret , Glenys Aucott and Gillian Dempsey from Westhoughton from Angela Shore, Tricia Lambe and Angela Sweeney also from Westhoughton .

In third place were Judith Fraser, Lynn Stevens and Nicola Smith from Breightmet  and Greenmount  with 85 points and fourth with 84 points Victoria Watson , Margaret McGough and Claire Moore from Castle Hawk .

Nearest the pin on the 9th goes to Ann Fallows from Gathurst playing with her sister Linda Vipond from WhItefield  who deserves special mention after getting a hole in one on the 3rd ! 

There were several 2s and next year will be holding a 2s sweep. 

Nearest the line goes to Glenys Aucott from Siloth on Solway  .

Our raffle with some fabulous prizes in aid of The Alzheimers society raised £340 . Thank you all for supporting this worthy charity by buying raffle tickets . 2 prizes with numbers 402 and 179 remain unclaimed . If you have the tickets I can leave these for you in the pro shop -let me know.
